THE class of 2009 are weighing up their post-school options, following the arrival of their Higher School Certificate results.
There were outstanding results across St Marys-Mt Druitt, where three students topped the state in a subject.
Erskine Park and Plumpton High schools recorded their best ever results.
Blaxland High School student Jeremy Badman was top of the class across NSW in the electrotechnology course he studied at Mt Druitt TAFE. St Marys Senior High School's Si Guo topped English as a second language.
St Marys-Mt Druitt dominated the top five spots in Filipino continuers, where Loyola Senior High School's Kenneth Fernandez won top honours, ahead of Anne Labiano (Plumpton High) and St Marys Senior High trio Charmaine Austria, Vivienne Montes and Janelle Guintu.
St Marys Senior High School students Zehan Mesbah Amin, Sebastian Diaz, Claire Jewell and Jaap Dua were honoured in the All Rounders list for scoring more than 90 per cent in 10 or more subject units.
Plumpton High School was ranked eighth overall in NSW for dance and had 10 band 6 subject marks (over 90 per cent), compared to two last year while the number of band 5 (over 80 per cent) results doubled.
The results coincide with the school's best ever performance in the School Certificate.
Erskine Park students recorded the highest number of band 5 and 6 results in the school's history. It included seven band 6 results from one visual arts class taught by former Erskine Park student Jade Vardon in her first year of teaching.
