St Clair crowd pelts police

02 Nov, 2009 11:43 AM
POLICE arrested people after a fight in St Clair's Cook Parade on Saturday night.

It is believed the fight broke out at a party in the community hall and spilled on to the street.

Police arrived at about 11.20pm, confronting a large crowd which threw bottles and other objects at them.

More officers arrived, including the Riot and Dog squads, and the crowd eventually dispersed.

Paramedics treated two people at the scene for minor cuts and abrasions.

Police also arrested some people and are making further inquiries into the incident.
