Blacktown Council is proud to support The Ponds Family Fun Day to be held this Sunday (March 14), 2.30pm – 5.30pm at The Ponds Sales and Display Centre.
The Ponds is a 320 hectare master-planned community being developed by Landcom and Australand.
It's currently the fastest selling development in NSW and will have over 3000 homes when completed.
This year’s Family Fun Day theme will relate to water to reinforce one of the key features at The Ponds.
“This coming event is an opportunity for the community to interact with one another and enjoy a day out” Blacktown mayor Charlie Lowles said.
Live entertainment includes a 30 minute show featuring Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags, Captain Feathersword and host Fairy Clare, jazz band – Blue Train, stalls, roving entertainers, face painting, a tiger jumping castle, train ride, water bumper boats and a free sausage sizzle.
“The Ponds is one of our Blacktown City’s newest suburbs and when complete will produce a new diverse community,'' Mr Lowles said.
“The suburb is also an excellent example of Council working closely with Landcom to deliver results for our residents, whilst setting the benchmark for well-planned environmentally sustainable new housing areas”.
“The Family Fun Day is a chance for the surrounding community and potential home owners in The Ponds to come and see this new suburb and meet their future neighbours”, Mayor Lowles continued.
