BLACKTOWN managed an excellent start to their two-day matches against the Hawkesbury, scoring four centuries in the top three grades.
First grade finished the day at 6-286 at Owen Earle.
It was a great return to form for Cosikan Beadle, who led the way with a score of 100.
He was joined by Paul Maraziotis at 48 and Nick Carruthers at 38.
Daniel Jackson and Josh Bridges scored an impressive 61-run seventh wicket partnership. Second grade won the toss, batted and at stumps were 4-319 at Joe McAleer. Opening batsman Mark Hill scored 37. Matthew Foster and Grant Crompton performed spectacularly in an unbeaten fifth wicket partnership of 227, scoring 118 not out and 103 not out respectively.
Third grade saw Blacktown bat at Benson's Lane and at the stumps they had scored 255. The star of the team was Gabriel Joseph with 157 runs.
Fourth grade bowled Hawkesbury out for 201 runs at Jim Hanshaw Oval while fifth grade took to the crease at Richmond Oval. They batted first and declared their innings with a score of 6-272.
Daya Singh at 74 not out and Craig Michie at 64 were in fine batting form while Hawkesbury scored 0-22 in reply.
Sixth grade played at Whalan where Blacktown won the toss and batted against Bankstown. At stumps they were 9-251, with Jacob Grant at 61 and Andrew Bugg at 50 the top scorers.
In the Poidevin-Gray Shield (U-21), Blacktown enjoyed a win over Randwick-Petersham. After 50 overs they had scored 9-246 with Daniel Jackson at 57 and Josh Bridges at 48 not out the best of the batsmen.
In reply Randwick-Petersham were bowled out for 175.
