THE honour of playing on the Sydney Cricket Ground beckons for Plumpton-Glendenning cricket club's under12s and under16s players.
They will play in the Michael Clarke Twenty20 Cup finals on Sunday.
The tournament started four years ago to give under12s, under14s and under16s juniors the chance to develop their skills.
Plumpton-Glendenning's under12s and under16s sides progressed to their respective finals after impressive semi-final performances on soggy outfields at Blacktown Olympic Park.
The under12s will meet Magpies Black in their final after a nail-biter against Normanhurst Warrawee, who fell three runs short.
The under16s will meet Fairfield RSL after their semi-final win against Pendle Hill Colts.
It's been a big season for the club which has a revamped uniform and logo.
All sides are in a healthy position in their respective competitions.
Club president Rod Payne coached the Blacktown under12s boys representative team to victory at the state titles earlier this season.
Six boys Payne coaches at club level were part of the squad, including captain Jordan Gauci, who scored 386 runs at the titles for a 96.5 batting average.
Payne hopes many supporters will make the trip to Moore Park to cheer on the boys.
``Win or lose, it's a massive buzz just to walk on the SCG,'' Payne said.
The boys hope to follow the footsteps of former club juniors Gurinder Sandhu and Luke Doran.
Sandhu made his first grade debut for Blacktown earlier this season, while Doran starred for Australia in the recent under19s World Cup.
He took the final three wickets of the final for Australia to claim the title.
