Congratulations to Clairgate Public School pupil Taryn McCaffrey, who has won the 2009 Peter Davis Award for Primary School Sport Associations outstanding athlete of the year in the Sydney-West region.
Taryn was chosen by the PSSA regional executive from more than 70,000 students at 219 schools.
She was astandout choice for the award.
Taryn represented Sydney-West in netball, athletics, cross-country and touch football and was selected in the state touch football team.
One girl and one boy are selected for this annual award, named in honour of Peter Davis, who
worked tirelessly for many years as the Sydney-West sports organiser.
Taryn will be presented with her award tonight (Dcember 8) at a Sydney-West sports award ceremony at Rooty Hill RSL.
