Youngsters flex pectorals for PEC day

03 Nov, 2009 10:08 AM
PREPARATIONS are well under way for next week's Participation, Effort and Cooperation (PEC) sports gala day when pupils from Plumpton, William Dean and Glendenning public schools will take part at Popondetta Park. The aim of the day on November 12 is to give years 4 to 6 youngsters, who don't play for their school, the chance to get active and learn new skills. They are being coached in soccer, touch football, netball and softball by Plumpton High students. A team from each sport will be awarded medals from points received during the day for participation and effort.
