Black Caviar has created history by becoming the first non-human to win the Victorian Racing Media Association Personality of the Year Award. The great mare beat off a field of four other nominees, which included her trainer, Peter Moody, and jockey Luke Nolen.
Other contenders were Queensland trainer Rob Heathcote and champion jockey Craig Williams.
A decision on Black Caviar's future racing programme will be made next month, with tentative plans for her to reappear in the Lightening Stakes at Flemington early next year.
