NOW is the time to get your bike race-ready for the 18th Tour de Hills Bicycle Classic on Sunday, March 3.
The charity bike ride will start from Rouse Hill Town Centre, the event's major sponsor.
It features four race routes including the 100 kilometre, 60 kilometre, 30 kilometre and the family friendly 13 kilometre cycleway stages.
Public relations officer of the Tour de Hills, Glynis Macri said there was a course to suit all abilities.
"At 100 kilometres and travelling along some tough roads, it is really challenging, but we understand there will be a few select riders for this course," she said.
"The 60 kilometres and under rides are less taxing and the bulk of riders will be taking part in these."
Last year's event attracted 800 riders and raised $90,000 for Rotary charities including major beneficiary Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre in Kellyville.
This year, the community bike ride hopes to raise $100,000 for several charities.
"We are hoping for around $100,000 but we can always dream of earning twice that, we just need people to become involved," Ms Macri said. "The money raised goes straight to charity, we keep none of it."
Ms Macri said the event was a popular activity which was growing every year.
"It is a great day and lots of fun," she said. "There are a lot of people involved with organising the day, from Castle Hill Rotary members to the police who not only help with the traffic management but also have a sizeable team taking part.
"You are doing something to help raise funds for several children's charities and it's very healthy."
