State of the art energy-saving technology that was previously only available for commercial use is now available for residential homes.
Sydney based solar power and energy efficiency company SolarSwitch is offering houseowners the new technology which could help save up to 70 per cent on electricity bills.
Director of Caringbah based SolarSwitch Adam Tesoriero said that by combining the latest technology, like voltage optimisation and energy monitoring with LED lighting and solar power you could save money and be energy efficient.
"This technology helps to drastically reduce your electricity usage and then we can tailor a solar power system to cover some of the balance while maximising the solar power incentives still available," he said.
"Now you can make a real and lasting impact on your electricity bills."
The voltage optimisation device is connected to your meter box and regulates the voltage of the power coming into your home.
The V-Phase reduces and stabilises your home's incoming voltage to a steady 220V which saves electricity and can improve the lifespan of your appliances.
And the Wattson Energy Monitor allows you to keep track of and manage your energy usage.
It displays and stores data and glows different colours according to how much energy you are using — it can also help you maximise your system by glowing green when you are exporting solar electricity to the grid.
LED lighting can offer further savings by reducing the lighting component of your electricity bill by almost 90 per cent.
