School funds
Schools can apply to share in $2 million funding through the NAB Schools First Awards.
The national program rewards school-community partnerships that improve student outcomes.
Schools with an existing community partnership, as well as those with an idea for a new partnership, are encouraged to apply.
Categories include impact awards for schools with an existing community partnership, seed funding awards for schools with an idea about how to partner with the local community and student awards for students who demonstrate creativity, social mindedness and leadership with a community partnership idea.
Chifley College Shalvey Campus won an impact award last year and awarded $30,000 for its Empowering Youth as Community Leaders program.
Nominations close on June 28.
