IF YOU haven't checked out Rooty Hill's latest attraction, do so this Saturday.
Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre will open its doors to the community for a free open day from 10am to 4pm.
Swimmers are already doing laps and gymnasts doing cartwheels in the $24 million centre since it opened last Monday.
The 4000sqm Olympic gymnasium will be the new base for Gymnastics NSW's elite program.
The first gymnastics competition was held there over the weekend.
The floor is big enough to fit 192 B-double trucks.
This Saturday's daytime activities include gymnastic demonstrations, tours, jumping castle, food tastings and hands-on sports assessments.
One of the pools will be filled with rubber ducks for the "ducky dip" fishing challenge, where kids will win a prize if they can reel in a duck.
The centre encourages sport for all ages and abilities.
Other programs cover swimming, gym and sports clinics for children.
