TWO arrows pointing in different directions in the car park of Tregear shops mean one thing, while one-way signs indicate another.
Changed traffic conditions are a disaster waiting to happen, according to resident Bert Tobin.
The car park was previously one- way traffic with one entrance and a separate exit.
The entrance was recently marked with two arrows, and this marking encourages motorists to travel around the car park in either direction.
The one-way signs remain.
The primary school is behind the shops and the car park's busiest times include weekday mornings and afternoons.
"An accident will happen sooner or later," Mr Tobin said.
He expressed his concerns to Blacktown Council.
"Their only response was that residents would have to be more careful," Mr Tobin said.
"I want the council to put the situation back to how it was.
"No one likes the changes."
Other residents have noticed the changes.
"Bloody stupid. Should be one way in and one way out," Warren Cook posted on Facebook.
Natalie Hanna added: "How they think you will fit a car either way is beyond me. The car park was bad enough and now this."
The council was contacted for a comment last Wednesday and is yet to respond.
