A man hunt is underway after chlorine was thrown over a woman in Bidwill this afternoon (September 3).
A male knocked on the front door of a home on Pamshaw Place at around 1.20pm and asked the female occupant, 53, if he could use her tap.
Police were told the man then threw a bucket of a liquid, believed to be chlorine, over her before fleeing.
The woman was taken to Nepean Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Mount Druitt detectives have established a crime scene at the home and are conducting an extensive search of the area.
They’ve commenced inquiries into the incident, which is being treated as a random assault.
The male is described of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance and aged in his late teens or early 20s.
It’s unknown what he was wearing but was carrying a black bucket.
