Champions play here
The NSW Breakers women's cricket team will play two rounds of the 2013/14 Women's National Cricket League and Women's T20 competitions at Rooty Hill.
The Breakers became the first team to win both competitions in the same season during 2012/13.
They open their 2013/14 campaign with matches against Tasmania in Launceston on October 25-27 before returning to Blacktown on November 8-10.
A second round will be played at Blacktown International Sportspark on December 6-8.
Design makes a splash
Blacktown Council was recognised at the Stormwater Industry Association Awards as the integrated stormwater design winner.
The council received the award for its redevelopment of the Blacktown Showground.
The design features stormwater harvesting and treatment systems, wetlands, rain gardens and creek restoration.
The water harvested from the large rain garden is stored in underground tanks and used throughout the precinct.

The new Western line train timetable, starting this Sunday, includes new services.
State MPs Tanya Davies and Bart Bassett said the timetable would have 34 extra weekly services from Penrith and 80 extra weekly services from Emu Plains.
There will be 39 extra weekly services from St Marys and 49 extra weekly services from Kingswood and Werrington.
