Westfield Mount Druitt festivities start with Super Saturday

THE festive season starts on Saturday, December 7 the at Westfield Mt Druitt with Super Saturday — a one day extravaganza of shopping, entertainment and raising money.

Centre manager Sharon Roes said this year's Super Saturday would be even bigger than last year.

"Super Saturday is the biggest day on this year's shopping calendar with activities and great bargains for the whole family to enjoy," she said.

"There are more than 100 exclusive offers for shoppers, including discounts at major retailers and gifts with purchase, plus entertainment all day.

"It's also our biggest fund-raising day of the year so we encourage shoppers to get involved in the activities, as proceeds go to our charity partner Lifestart."

To start the festivities, children and their families are invited to breakfast with Santa for a taste of his favourite food and the chance to share their Christmas wish list with the man in red.

There will be more festive food fun throughout the day , including food carving and watermelon decorating.

The best watermelon designs will go to auction in the afternoon as part of the fund-raising drive.

There will also be face painting, balloon bending, fairy floss, popcorn and all-day meet-and-greets with Rudolph, snowmen and Christmas elves who will be roaming the centre.

Shoppers can take advantage of exclusive one-day shopping offers from stores such as Katies with 30 per cent off full-price items and Pumpkin Patch with 25 per cent off full-price items.

And with Westfield Mt Druitt's Spend & Win promotion, shoppers spending more than $200 in any specialty stores will instantly receive a bonus $20 Westfield gift card.
