Park in spotlight

Blacktown International Sportspark in Rooty Hill has been the backdrop for many television and magazine shoots.

And now the athletics centre is featured in the January 2014 issue of the Australian Women's Health magazine in a story about Angelina Jolie.

The Hollywood actress/director filmed scenes from her latest movie Unbroken at the athletics centre.

More than 300 extras and 250 crew converged on the precinct which was transformed to the 1930s.

The film is due for release in December.
