Shalvey man injured in hit and run

Police are appealing for information after a man was injured in an alleged hit and run at Rouse Hill at the weekend.

The 21-year-old man, from Shalvey, was struck on Windsor Road, near Mile End Road, about 2.50am yesterday.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

Police beliave a taxi may have been involved in the incident, and they have appealed for anyone with information about the incident, or the vehicle involved to contact them.

Investigators have contacted taxi companies operating in the area at the time, and have spoken with a driver; however, they are seeking anyone who can provide clarification of the circumstances leading up to the incident.
