Learning centre wants to be the best

FRONT Runner Learning Centre offers quality tutoring from qualified teachers who have an in-depth knowledge of the school syllabus.

The learning centres in Rooty Hill and Penrith offer tutoring in maths and English, as well as other subjects based on teachers' specialities, said the Rooty Hill centre owner and teacher of 27 years, Martin Marshall.

"We can assess children's weaknesses through a free assessment. We even look at the way they sit in a chair, the way they read, write and hold a pen."

Mr Marshall said many different things could contribute to the way a child learnt.

"It's important to know what the child can cope with, and when it's time for a teacher to intervene," he said.

"Schools do a really good job but sometimes students just need that extra help."

Front Runner Learning Centre provides classes from years 1 to 12 and the centre's free assessment takes about 1½ hours, with results given on the spot.

"My policy is that every teacher I hire has to be the very best at their job,"

Mr Marshall said.

"The best way to help kids is to have the best set-up, the best resources and the best staff."
