Event for active seniors
Blacktown and District Older Women's Network is inviting senior citizens to its Seniors Week event on March 19, from 10am to 3pm.
There will be Heart Moves exercise demonstrations, African drumming and line-dancing, with a chance to take part.
It will be held at Rooty Hill Senior Citizens Centre, 34-A Rooty Hill Road South.
Attendees are urged to RSVP by March 5 as places are limited.

Free hearing checks
The Australian Hearing Bus will be in Dawson Mall, Mount Druitt, tomorrow (February 26), 9am-4pm, to offer free hearing checks.
About 60 per cent of Australians over 60 suffer some form of hearing loss.
The checks, conducted by staff from Australian Hearing, will take about 15 minutes.
No appointment is necessary.

Dementia rates on the rise
The number of Australians with dementia has jumped to 332,000, according to Deloitte Access Economics figures.
In the Mulgoa, Mount Druitt and Londonderry electorates, there are an estimated 1950 people with dementia, expected to increase to 2590 by 2020 and 6900 by 2050.
Share joy of gardening
Bidwill Community Garden will host a Seniors Week event, A Day in the Garden, on Wednesday, March 19.
Tea and coffee will be available from 10am, followed by a Gardening for Good Health talk from community greening officer Elizabeth Docking at 10.30am.
There will be a barbecue from noon.
