GALLERY: Penrith Panthers shave for a cure

THE Penrith Panthers might have named the same team for the game against Melbourne; but fans might need a double take to make sure it’s the same players who take the field.

The Panthers got behind the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave on Tuesday with players and general manager rugby league Phil Moss involved.

Experienced pair Kevin Kingston and Brent Kite led from the front with complete head shaves while Nigel Plum went purple for the cause.

Panthers’ major sponsor OAK were also there to make a $3000 donation to the Leukaemia Foundation which can provide 37 nights of accommodation for a regional family who have to relocate for treatment or 111 sessions of emotional support to help overcome the initial shock.

The story GALLERY: Penrith Panthers shave for a cure first appeared on Penrith City Gazette.
