POLICE have solved the case of a 14-year-old girl who was sexually attacked in Doonside last month, with the arrest of the last two of four suspects.
The police arrested and charged another two teenagers last Wednesday, March 19, in connection with the assault.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad believe all people involved in the incident have been arrested and charged.
A girl was sexually assaulted by several people in Bill Colbourne Reserve at about 11pm on Saturday, February 8.
A police spokesman said a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Kildare Road, Blacktown, at 1.45pm and an 18-year-old man was arrested in Alpha Park, Blacktown, at 4.30pm last Wednesday.
Both were taken to Blacktown police station, where they were charged with aggravated sexual assault.
The 17-year-old appeared before Parramatta Children's Court, and the 18-year-old appeared in Blacktown Local Court last Thursday.
The first of four suspects was arrested when he presented himself to Blacktown police station on February 13, followed by another youth about two days later after police and members of both African and Islander communities walked around Blacktown CBD to defuse community tensions.
Community and church leaders helped police to calm the people by speaking to members of the two communities.
This was followed by the Sex Crime Squad release of CCTV images of two suspects taken at Blacktown and Parramatta train stations at the night of the assault on February 8.
