Tom is swingin' back here

FRESH from getting his second Australian Club Entertainment award as best male singer, Tom Burlinson is back with a new show. Burlinson, known for his Frank Sinatra tributes and for starring as The Man from Snowy River, will perform at Blacktown Workers Club on Saturday, April 5, at 8pm. "I'll be glad to come home," he said. "This is the first Sydney gig I've done since I won the ACE award. It was really nice, to be recognised for my work in the clubs."

His new show, The Best of Burlinson, is a mix of his favourite music by his favourite artists. "This show features some songs from my original show, Frank: A Life in Song, as well as some from Now We're Swinging.

"There are songs from some of the greatest musicians of all time, such as the Beatles, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder. It has a lot of new material and some of the best songs from my other shows, too.

"They're all great songs and each one has a special significance in my life."

Burlinson will be joined on stage by his eight-piece Sydney band, some of "Sydney's best musicians".

He said fans are so far enjoying the new show. "We've played the show a couple of times already and the general reaction to the new songs has been really positive, which is great."
