POLICE have made two more arrests, bringing the total to five, over the sale of illegal weapons in western Sydney.
Strike Force Bootle detectives arrested a man, 57, at Parramatta last Thursday after finding a M1 carbine rifle in a search at Londonderry.
They charged him with possessing an unauthorised firearm, ammunition, and an unregistered firearm.
Another man, 43, was arrested at Blacktown and charged with possessing prohibited weapons and ammunition after a search in St Marys last Friday uncovered a crossbow, ammunition and revolvers.
Throughout the Strike Force Bootle investigation, officers seized 13 firearms, including three pistols, two shotguns, seven revolvers and a rifle, as well as various calibres of ammunition.
Police searched properties at Windsor, Greystanes, Londonderry, Castlereagh, St Marys and Warilla.
