This year’s round of NSW Premier’s Teacher Scholarships is open for application submissions until May2. There are 22 scholarships in 12 program areas for teachers in government and non-government schools and TAFE. “The scholarships give teachers the opportunity to study overseas, research an area of interest and further their professional growth and development,” Riverstone MP Kevin Conolly said. ‘‘They’re designed to enhance and enrich the learning experiences of students by giving their teachers a unique opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in their fields of expertise.’’ More than 370 teachers have taken part in the scholarship program since it started in 1999.
