DO YOU like a bit of dancing, a bit of singing and a bit of laughter?
The musical Hairspray is heading back to the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre this Friday, May 9.
The stars of the performance are warming up their vocal chords and putting their dancing shoes back on as they return after their sell-out season last year.
"Most of the original cast is back and Hairspray is bigger, blonder and better than ever," Penrith Musical Comedy Company president Grant Jones said.
"We had such amazing feedback from audiences last time around and it's so exciting to bring it back again."
During this performance you can expect anything — a mum who is played by a male, a love that is forbidden and a spoilt little brat who makes everyone's stomach turn.
Mr Jones said seeing the characters triumph under adversity was what made the production so popular last season.
