Armed robbery at Rooty Hill

Police are investigating an armed robbery at Mount Druitt hotel on Tuesday night (May 6).

Three men armed with machetes and a baseball bat arrived at a hotel on Mount Druitt Road at 10.20pm.

One man stood in the hallway entrance while the other two entered the bar area and threatened a female staff member, demanding money.

The staff member complied with their demands and the men were last seen leaving south on Mount Druitt Road with cash.

Mount Druitt Police established a crime scene.

Two staff members were treated at the scene for shock but no one was physically injured.

Detectives investigating the incident want to speak to three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid 20s, with a large build.

He was last seen wearing a balaclava, a black hoodie with the word ‘Russell’ emblazoned on the front, and long, dark pants.

The second man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid 20s, with a large build. He was last seen wearing a balaclava, a black hoodie with a Puma symbol on the front, and long, dark pants.

The third man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid 20s, with a small build. He was last seen wearing a balaclava, a red hoodie, and long, dark pants.
