GALLERY: Blacktown's best in business recognised

Eastbrooke Medical Centre at Blacktown took out the coveted Business of the Year Award at the 2014 Blacktown City Local Business Awards last night (Wednesday).

Natasha Drower from Natasha’s Arts Theatre took out the Business Person of the Year and Justine Tesoriero from Studio Dance NSW won the Youth Award.

The category winners were announced at a dinner held at Blacktown Workers Club.

For these businesses, winning an award presented a culmination of the efforts they have put forth not only towards the Local Business Awards program, but to the customers they serve on an everyday basis.

These businesses can hold their heads high that they have excelled through the entire process; garnering admirable support from the local community through nominations, and excelling in the comprehensive judging process.

Managing director of Precedent Productions Steve Loe said the local businesses of Blacktown City are renowned for having a close-knit relationship with their community.

‘‘Through my experience with the awards, I know that these local businesses are filled with a special kind of person; hard working, and with a dedication to providing the best for their customers,’’ Mr Loe said.

‘‘There is a great sense of pride and community within the local business people of Blacktown City.

‘‘Although there can only be one category winner each year, congratulations should be extended to all finalists.  These businesses represent the elite in the local area.’’

As the award’s official media partner, the Sun will publish a winners feature in the May 20 edition, recognising all category winners from the presentation evening.

The awards were sponsored by major sponsors Blacktown Workers Club and Home Base Prospect with support sponsors Blacktown Council, Westpoint Blacktown, BREED, Seven Hills Plaza, Blacktown Rotary Club and Woodcroft Village.
