■ Music: Sydney Balalaika Orchestra on June 15.
The 30-strong orchestra's traditional folk instruments and costumes takes audiences on a journey to the heart and soul of Russia. Music director Victor Serghie and cimbalom player Lucy Voronov create powerful arrangements of Russian folk songs and orchestral pieces.
■ Stage: Opera in Concert on June 21.
A double bill featuring Puccini's tragic opera Il Tabarro and Menotti's quirky The Telephone, set in the 1960s, about a man interrupted by constant telephone calls as he tries to propose to his girlfriend before a train trip.
■ Music: Pops for Tots on June 22.
Penrith City Orchestra conductor George Ellis presents two performances which provide toddlers and children to upper primary age with a wonderful introduction to orchestral music.
Tickets are $22 adult, $17 child, under-twos free.
