Thursday has been declared a national day of mourning and a multi-faith public memorial service will be held in Melbourne at St Patrick's Cathedral, with flags to be flown at half mast.
In total, 38 Australians were among the 298 passengers and crew killed, when their flight, Malaysia Airlines MH17, was shot down over the eastern Ukraine.
