EELS five-eighth Corey Norman has praised the Gold Coast contingent of the blue-and-gold army that helped them to the their 24-18 win against the Titans on Saturday.

The crowd at Robina featured just as many Eels supporters as Titans fans despite being an away game.

"I know Parra fans are mad, which is good. It's a home away from home every time we come up this way, which is great," Norman said.

"It's always good when your fans come out and cheer you on, it gives you a bit more energy when you're tired," he said.

Centre Ryan Morgan also praised the fans who stood as one when Jarryd Hayne (pictured) inspired a second-half comeback with a memorable solo try.

"It felt like a home game; they were that loud," Morgan said.

"The blue-and-gold army was out in force and I'm glad we could get the win for them."

The 12th-placed Eels, on 22, are two behind the fifth-placed Roosters heading into this week's match against the Sharks.
