THE anxious wait for all participants ends this week with the 2014 Mount Druitt St Marys Local Business Awards finalists to be announced.

Businesses and their teams will be contacted next week and judging will begin.

The judging is done anonymously, mystery-shopper style, and the criteria are outstanding personal service, value for money, merchandising and presentation of product or service, and presentation of staff and business facilities.

Additional information submitted by finalists will help determine the winners.

Customer references and testimonials are also welcome as

an accompaniment to this information.

Community members can submit written testimonials in support of local businesses.

Major sponsors are TrueLocal and NOVA Employment, and support sponsors Blacktown Council, Remondis Australia, Vintage FM and BREED Business Centre.

As media partner the Star will list the names of all category finalists with the special feature in the coming weeks.

A full list of finalists is now available to view at thebusinessawards.com.au.

The theme for the awards "We're Here For You" recognises the positive impact business and communities have on one another.
