Gala dinner for children's charity

WITH ITS second annual charity gala dinner on September 7, the Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney is eager to build on the success of last year's event, which raised more than $30,000 for the World Childhood Foundation.

Parent company, the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, has a long-standing relationship with the foundation, and the Radisson Blu Sydney expanded their fundraising efforts by establishing a yearly event to support the charity.

The five-star hotel is appealing to its stakeholders and business partners to support these efforts on the night of the gala dinner or with online donations.

The foundation works with the most marginalised children and focuses on homeless children, children living in institutions, young mothers and sexually abused children.

As part of the hotel's responsible business strategy, all proceeds from ticket sales, donations and money raised on the night will go to the foundation to support disadvantaged children around the world.

The hotel's star chef, Oswin Ribeiro, will treat guests to a three-course menu, while radio personality Gareth McCray will be the MC..

Musical performances from local children and a Q&A with Attorney General Greg Smith, as well as superb silent auction items and lucky door prizes are bound to make this a magnificent night.

Tickets can be bought for $150 a person or $1350 for a table of 10.

An addition to this year's appeal is the online fundraising page, which is targeting an extra $5000 in donations.

Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney is at 27 O'Connell Street, and has easy access to major transport, attractions and shopping precincts.
