Emerton woman on life support with head injuries

An elderly woman is in a critical condition after she was found suffering head injuries outside her unit in Emerton on Monday (September 3).

Police and paramedics were called to the Bunting Street residential block about 1.30pm where neighbours had discovered the woman lying in the quadrangle of the complex.

The woman, 86, had suffered serious head injuries and an injury to her wrist.

She is on life support in Nepean Hospital

Forensic police have investigated the scene and local detectives from Mt Druitt have commenced an investigation.

Police have not ruled out the possibility the woman may have fallen.
