A man will face today (September 10), charged in relation to an alleged stabbing at a hotel at Mount Druitt overnight.
A man was at a hotel on Mount Druitt Road around 6.25pm on Sunday night when another man allegedly flicked cigarette butts and spat at him.
Police allege the offender was asked to leave the premises and as he walked towards the exit he picked up a knife and swung it at a man, 34, grazing his stomach.
It is further alleged another patron tackled the armed offender to the ground and was stabbed three times to the shoulder and back.
The offender fled the hotel.
Mount Druitt Police and other emergency services attended the scene and treated the injured men.
The man, 34, was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene was established which was examined by forensic specialists.
The knife used during the incident was allegedly located at the scene and seized by police.
They arrested a man, 44 on Beames Avenue, Mount Druitt at about 10.45pm.
He was charged with reckless wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
He was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court later today.
