Will they play or won’t they?
Cronulla veterans Paul Gallen and Michael Ennis are still no certainties to line up for NSW in the State of Origin decider in Brisbane on Wednesday night, July 8.
NSW and Sharks captain Gallen failed to complete training on Sunday, July 5, as he continued to battle a rib cartilage injury suffered in game two.
Gallen has been absent for the Sharks since the injury.
Blues coach Laurie Daley said it was a ‘‘minor concern’’.
NSW hooker Robbie Farah will be given the chance to prove his fitness at Blues training on Tuesda, July 7y.
Daley’s men will have their final contact session at Suncorp Stadium but Farah appears to be losing his battle to be fit in time after breaking his hand.
Ennis, who has not played Origin since 2011, is on stand-by for Farah after serving a one-match suspension during Cronulla’s loss to Manly on Sunday.
Like Gallen, Farah did not take part in contact training on Sunday.
The Wests Tigers’ rake reportedly was unable to do a push-up during the team’s warm up but has been able to pass the ball freely.
St George Illawarra’s Trent Merrin and Josh Dugan are fit to take their places for NSW.
Is Michael Ennis the man to replace Robbie Farah?
