Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume released

The "Call Me Caitlyn" costume is a replica of the outfit worn by Jenner, 65, on the cover of Vanity Fair earlier this year.

Featuring a white padded corset and matching shorts, the costume is being sold on wholesalehalloweencostumes.com and anytimehalloweencostumes.com.

Despite the outfit being labelled as "unisex", all product shots of the costume are modelled by a man with a facial hair.

According to Buzzfeed, the costume was also available on buycostumes.com, although it has since been discontinued.

Jenner appeared on the cover of the July 2015 issue of Vanity Fair. Caitlyn, who was formerly known as Bruce, announced her feminine name to the public in the magazine, after revealing she identified as a woman in a televised interview with Diane Sawyer a month earlier.

The costume is not the only Jenner-inspired outfit expected to be on market by October 31.

Spirit Halloween, a costume shop which operates pop-up stores across the US, have announced they will also be producing a Caitlyn Jenner costume.

Speaking to The Daily News, Spirit Halloween PR representative Trish Lombardo said the costume was designed to "celebrate" Jenner.

"Caitlyn Jenner has proven to be the most important real-life superhero of the year, and Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her."

It isn't the first time Spirit Halloween have invited controversy with their designs.

Last year the company was criticised after they carried child-size "Slenderman" outfits, inspired by the internet phenomenon who allegedly compelled two 12-year-old girls to kill their friend earlier that year.

The reaction towards the costumes on social media has been overwhelmingly negative.
