G one are the days when we would burn oil or spray deodorant cans to rid a room of a nasty smell.

Fragrance company dusk has developed the next generation of home fragrance called the MoodMist.

MoodMist is a cost effective home fragrance system, available in four designs and 44 exclusive dusk MoodMist fragrances.

MoodMist works by diffusing fragrance through ultrasonic technology which vapourises the liquid without any heat.

Simply fill MoodMist diffuser with water and add a few drops of MoodMist fragrance and then sit back and watch as the fine mist is dispersed into the air.

The marketing manager of dusk, Candice Kendall, said the fragrance from the MoodMist was distributed evenly as it didn't rely on any propellants or chemicals to distribute the scent.

"The dusk MoodMist continues to pump fragrance into the air and people can control how much fragrance they wish to distribute," she said. "The more MoodMist fragrances that is added to the unit the stronger the output of fragrance."

Ms Kendall said the MoodMist functioned differently to a scented candle.

"Candles and oil burners are a more passive way to distribute fragrance as they need a wax pool to throw the fragrance," she said. "MoodMist diffusers are a cost effective way to fragrance your home as they are an efficient way to throw fragrance. They throw an even amount of scent into the air and the scent throw is immediate."

Each bottle of MoodMist fragrance will last for about 80 hours.

Ms Kendall said there were many advantages to using a MoodMist diffuser in the home.

"As MoodMist diffusers don't have a naked flame they are safe to use around children," she said. "Some people are also wary of naked flames so they don't like to burn candles. Now they can fragrance their home in all of dusk's signature scents. Each MoodMist model automatically turns off when it runs dry, so you can set and forget about it.
