It was a bittersweet weekend for the Mount Druitt Town Rangers in their soccer grand finals.
Gladesville Ryde Magic retained the men's state league first division trophy after two second-half goals broke the Rangers' hearts at Cook Park, Mount Pritchard on Saturday night.
The weekend got better for the Rangers on Sunday with two of of three youth league grades winning their respective grand finals at Popondetta Park on Sunday.
The Rangers under 13s were too good for Gladesville Ryde Magic with a 3-1 while the under-15s enjoyed a 1-nil win against St George.
The under-14s Rangers also put up a brave fight to go down against St George 1-0.
It's a been successful season for the Rangers, who retained the youth league first division club championship.
Five of its youth league teams made the final three in their respective grades.
