Man charged over stabbings

Police have charged a man following investigations into two stabbings that occurred in Oxley Park and St Marys earlier this year. 

The first incident is alleged to have occurred shortly before 11.45pm on April 3.

Police allege a man, 30, answered a knock at the front door of his Melbourne Street home, when he was set upon by two men and stabbed in the chest.

The second incident occurred about 9am, May 31, where a man suffered stab wounds to his neck while inside his Saddington Street home in St Marys. 

St Marys detectives attended a home in Putland Street, St Marys on Monday (September 17), where they arrested a man, 35.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with special aggravated break and enter, reckless wounding and wound with intent.

He was refused bail and due to appear in Penrith Local Court today (September 18).
