These motorcyclists look tough but they’re softies at heart.
Up to 100 riders will meet at Minchinbury this Saturday for a 35 kilometre convoy up to Springwood and down to Windsor.
Ride With Your Heart is a fundraising ride for Rouse Hill youngster Levi McCormack, who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and has spent most of his eight years in hospital.
Levi is one of the only kids in the world who also has a mysterious lung condition.
His story touched ride organiser Benny Nikolaou, owner of The Wots Den at Minchinbury.
‘‘Kids like Levi need the support from people like us,’’ Mr Nikolaou said.
‘‘He is my little hero.’’
Mr Nikolaou, better known as ‘‘Cheeky’’ also hopes to change the perception of motorcyclists.
‘‘Not all bikies are bad, most of them have big hearts,’’ he said.
The ride departs The Wots Den, 40 Sterling Road, Minchinbury at 10am and ends at Windsor Pie Shop, where they will be greeted by Levi and his family.
Registration is $20, which includes a free shirt, can be paid on the day.
