Belconnen Arts Centre: Hidden Faces. An exhibition featuring work from participants of the IGNITE Alternative Arts Academy. Lamina. Drill Hall Gallery: The Birth of the Cool. A selection of works by four painters – David Aspden, Sydney Ball, Michael Johnson and Dick Watkins, produced between 1963 and 1973. Nigel Lendon: Modelling the Now. Recent works by Nigel Lendon, a Canberra artist who, in 1968, exhibited alongside Aspden, Ball, Johnson and Watkins. Both until December 13. National Gallery of Australia: Behind the scenes: Tyler Graphics at work. This exhibition showcases elaborate graphic artworks from one of the most innovative print workshops of the 20th century. Using photographs and a series of specially produced short films, the exhibition takes audiences behind the scenes to investigate the processes of print making, and illuminate the collaborative relationships between seven leading artists and Ken Tyler, master printer.
