GST worries
The NSW Liberals were trying to cover up their government's twisted priorities and lay the groundwork for an increase in the GST, says federal Labor Lindsay MP David Bradbury.
Mr Bradbury accused state Penrith MP Stuart Ayres of misleading the community by dishonestly blaming the federal government for his government's $1.7 billion education cuts.
"There has been no cut to GST revenue — in fact, the NSW share of GST revenue is projected to rise over the next four years," Mr Bradbury said.
"Not only is Mr Ayres refusing to stand up for local schools, he is using these vicious cuts to push a Liberal agenda to increase the GST."
