Adele has earned a spot on TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People list, and who better for the magazine to call upon to justify her placement than the singer's celebrity mate, Jennifer Lawrence?
Lawrence has written something of a love letter to the Hello singer in the magazine's latest issue, but, keen to not let her get too big for her boots, decided to end her appraisal by calling her a "bitch".
In her 377-word piece on Adele, Lawrence acknowledged that while her fans are able to see her professional success, only a select few are given an insight into the mother-of-one's notoriously private personal life.
"What you don't see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is," she wrote. "That she makes her son's Halloween costumes. Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she's also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful. Bitch."
Adele, who previously appeared on TIME's 2012 list, lives with her partner Simon Konecki and their three-year-old son Angelo in London.
Young Angelo has been sighted in a variety of costumes over the years, wearing a Spiderman outfit while travelling from New York's JFK airport last November and donning a Princess Anna dress for a trip to Disneyland in February.
Lawrence, 25, told TIME the pair first met at the Oscars in 2013, when the 27-year-old singer won Best Song for the Bond theme Skyfall (and Lawrence took home the Best Actress award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook).
The actor revealed she had been a fan of Adele's since her 19 album, but "[hers] and billions of other lives were - not to sound dramatic - changed" with the release of 21.
"Suddenly there were words to that before-indescribable pain, frustration, sadness, then revolution that all comes from a breakup," Lawrence wrote. "I felt understood, I felt stronger, and above all, I hadn't sung in front of a mirror with a hairbrush since Destiny's Child."
Adele and Lawrence were spotted in New York having dinner with actor Emma Stone last November, and are believed to be close friends.
