We know the rebooted Ghostbusters is all about the women – but that doesn't mean it's a bloke-free zone, as a teaser clip for the movie released overnight Tuesday proves.
Much has been made of the fact that director Paul Feig has reunited his Bridesmaids stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy as two of the all-female paranormalising crew, with Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones rounding out the team.
But Chris Hemsworth is bound to be a major attraction, too.
Hemsworth's Kevin is an inversion of the dumb-blonde secretary type, a himbo who applies for a job he doesn't understand and is clearly underqualified for. Wiig's Erin Gilbert may be a brilliant scientist but she's a sucker for a pretty face and a ripped body. She takes one look at him, giggles nervously, and says "You're hired".
"Kevin is a big, dumb, puppy dog," Hemsworth, best known for playing Marvel superhero Thor, says of his character.
"He's a Ken Doll with the insides scooped out," says McKinnon, whose Jillian Holtzmann is described in the trailer released last month as "a brilliant engineer".
The movie is clearly going to have fun with the beefcake image, but Paul Feig insists it's not just stunt casting.
"Chris Hemsworth is a huge comedic talent," the director says.
We'll have to wait till July 14 to judge for ourselves if he's right. For now, you'll just have to make do with this clip.
