Two young children were left with head injuries after they were hit by a car at Marrickville in Sydney's inner west on Thursday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to Llewellyn Street, near the intersection of Edgeware Road, at around 2.55pm with reports a car had run into a pram.
They arrived at the scene to find a young boy and girl with head injuries and abrasions.
Both children were conscious after the crash.
NSW Ambulance said the boy, believed to be 3, was treated for injuries to his head and abrasions to his leg. The girl, aged 1, had minor head injuries.
It is believed the car hit a pram being pushed by a woman who lived nearby and knocked at least one of the children to the ground.
Police said initial reports suggest the car was travelling at a relatively low speed.
Both children were taken to Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick in a stable condition.
