New green bins
Green-lidded organics bins will be replaced over the next few weeks throughout Penrith.
Council's contractor SITA will replace the 240-litre green lidded organics bin with a new 240-litre bin.
The bin changeover will happen on one of your normal collection days before November 16.
Leave your green lidded organics bin out at the kerbside all day on each of your scheduled collection days, even if it is empty, to ensure you receive a new bin.
There will be no change to bin collection days.
Mayor Mark Davies said 50,000 bins were being replaced.
"It's all about creating a more sustainable future for our city," he said.
In the week before your area's changeover, you will receive a leaflet reminder in your letterbox to ensure your bin remains on the kerb all day for collection.
