As Michelle Leng lay on her bed, with her hands bound behind her back and black duct tape across her mouth, her accused murderer captured the fear on her face.
It was not the first time her uncle Derek Barrett had allegedly recorded his naked niece at their Campsie home in Sydney's south-west.
He had previously allegedly hidden a camera in the bathroom and snuck into Ms Leng's room at night to film himself masturbating over her while she slept.
But April 2016 would be the final time Ms Leng would appear in a photograph on her uncle's phone.
Police allege that, hours later, Mr Barrett, 27, stabbed Ms Leng, 25, a University of Technology, Sydney graduate, at least 30 times.
Mr Barrett, who was married to Ms Leng's aunt, is then accused of dumping her body in a blowhole at Snapper Point on the Central Coast and leaving it for tourists to find on Sunday, April 24.
On Wednesday, homicide detectives laid 27 additional charges against Mr Barrett, an unemployed former IT worker, including detaining for advantage, committing an act of indecency and filming private parts without consent.
He had previously been charged with murder.
It is alleged police uncovered 13 images on his phone of Ms Leng, who was also known by her Chinese name Mengmei, lying on her bed bound, gagged and naked.
"The victim is clearly alive at the time the image was taken," police allege in a statement of facts.
"The facial expression show by the victim ... is of fear and terror.
"The duct tape and white cloth that is around her mouth also appears to be in place to restrict her from shouting or screaming out."
It appears Ms Leng's cousin came home on Friday, April 22, unaware that Ms Leng was being kept captive and bound upstairs.
Police also allegedly found four videos on Mr Barrett's phone, ranging from 30 seconds to two minutes in length, that captured him masturbating over Ms Leng while she slept.
He is also accused of filming himself carrying out the same act over another young woman.
In other videos before Ms Leng's death, she was allegedly captured in the bathroom, undressing and showering.
According to the police allegations, Mr Barrett recorded himself setting up the camera in the bathroom, hidden behind toiletries, before Ms Leng came in.
In one instance Mr Barrett appeared to be "preparing a bath" before calling out to Ms Leng, who was later filmed in the bath, police facts detail.
Ms Leng disappeared after an afternoon spent shopping in Pitt Street in the CBD on April 21.
The student, who moved to Australia from China five years ago, lived in Campsie with Mr Barrett, her cousin and aunt, who was often away in Wollongong for work.
Her body was pulled from the Central Coast blowhole on April 24 but she wasn't identified until days later.
Police allege Mr Barrett provided "vague" details of his whereabouts about the time Ms Leng was last seen and came up with three different versions.
According to the police allegations, one involved him having an affair with a prostitute, another was him being at home alone and a third involved him claiming to have suffered "memory loss".
On the morning Ms Leng's body was found, police allegedly tracked Mr Barrett's movements to the Central Coast, where he visited relatives in the town of Gwandalan.
CCTV captured a car driving into the national park at 7am. Ms Leng's body was found at 10.30am.
Mr Barrett did not appear in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday when his case was mentioned and the extra charges were laid.
The case was adjourned to August 10.
