HALLOWEEN comes four days early to St Marys this Saturday.
For the second time, Queen Street will be taken over by witches, fairies, sorcerers, vampires and Jack-O-Lanterns after its overwhelming success last year.
The inaugural event was so popular it was a finalist in the Greater Sydney Tourism Awards.
"We were blown away by the number of families who got into the spirit," co-ordinator Vanessa Campbell said.
Coachmans Park will be a hive of activity with arts and crafts, a reptile show and a hip hop group from Fusion.
There are prizes for the best costumes.
About 30 businesses are involved in the trick or treat trail along Queen Street.
"We want St Marys to be a sea of colour and lots of smiling faces," Mrs Campbell said.
"There will be some characters wandering the streets that have never been seen in St Marys before.
"It's safe and community managed when parents can go trick or treating with their children, instead of knocking on the doors of strangers, where some people may not share the same spirit."
Giggles Fancy Dress Hire is one of several Queen Street businesses already in the Halloween spirit.
Creative Arts Centre at Minchinbury will be opened extended hours to celebrate Halloween next Wednesday, October 31, 4pm-7pm.
