A man has died in hospital after falling down a flight of stairs at Plumpton High School on Thursday.
Police confirmed the man, 57, who worked as a cleaner at the school, passed away after suffering head injuries and a cardiac arrest in the fall.
The man was found collapsed at the bottom of a flight of concrete stairs about 8am on March 16.
Staff immediately called emergency services. Paramedics and CarFlight’s rapid response helicopter arrived soon after.
The man was revived at the scene and he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
A Western Sydney Local Health District spokesperson said the man was in a stable but critical condition that afternoon, but he later lost his fight for life.
Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
